Sitting of the Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel – April 7, 2022
- Hagensborg Waterworks Service
The Central Coast Regional District prepared the 2022 parcel tax roll for the purpose of levying parcel taxes and letters will be sent ONLY to the property owners who are being assessed a parcel tax for the first time in the above noted service area.
Owners of properties located in the service area are able to view the roll at the Regional District office in Bella Coola. The purpose of the parcel tax roll review is to ensure information is correct for billing property taxes for 2022. A property owner’s correct name and address is critical information for billing property taxes.
Property owners are able to request a correction to the parcel tax roll for their own property and only for the following reasons:
- there was an error or omission on a name or address on the parcel tax roll;
- there was an error or omission on the inclusion of a parcel;
- there was an error or omission on the taxable area or the taxable frontage or parcel;
- an exemption had been improperly allowed or disallowed.
Parcel tax rolls will be available for inspection at the Central Coast Regional District Office, 626 Cliff Street, Bella Coola, BC, Wednesday (March 30) through Friday (April 1) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Monday (April 4) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
(Please note that the office will be closed between noon and 1:00 p.m.)
In order for a request to be considered by the panel, it must be made in writing and received at the CCRD office at least 48 hours prior to the sitting of the parcel tax roll review panel (by 1:00 p.m. on April 5, 2022).
The Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel will meet on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. virtually to consider written requests, receive as outlined above, and authenticate the parcel tax rolls.
