Wildlife exists in abundance in the Central Coast region. Most encounters between wild animals and humans are peaceful. However, human-wildlife conflict is still a serious issue in British Columbia, and each year too many bears and other wildlife are killed because of human decisions and behaviour.
If you have an encounter with wildlife that seems potentially unsafe for either you or the animal, please immediately call the RAPP line at 1-877-952-RAPP or #7277 on the Telus Mobility network.
