PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN AS FOLLOWS:
NOTICE OF NOMINATION
Nominations for the office of:
Electoral Area E Director – one (1)
will be received by the Chief Election Officer or a designated person, as follows:

Interested persons can obtain information on the requirements and procedures for making nominations including nomination forms at the Central Coast Regional District office or on the Regional District’s website: www.ccrd.ca beginning on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 9:00 am.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICE |
A person is qualified to be nominated, elected, and to hold office as a member of local government if they meet the following criteria:
- Canadian citizen;
- 18 years of age or older on general voting day [August 24, 2024];
- resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months January 8, 2024) immediately before the day nomination papers are filed [July 9, 2024] and
- not disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election in British Columbia or being nominated for, being elected to or holding the office, or be otherwise disqualified by law.
CAMPAIGN PERIOD EXPENSE LIMITS |
In accordance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, the expense limit of $5,398.92 for candidates during the campaign period will apply to the 2024 Local Government Electoral Area E Director By-Election.
THIRD PARTY ADVERTISING LIMITS |
In accordance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, the third party advertising limit of $809.84 will apply for Electoral Area E Director candidates for the 2024 Local Government Electoral Area E Director By-Election.
